I had such a great time at our annual ladies shopping day. I am so blessed to have such a great group of ladies in my life to encourage me, support me and love me just were I am. Sometimes it seems to good to be true that I have so many beautiful, loving friends, thank you God for blessing me with such a wonderful group of friends!

Turkey Bowl

Andy did a great job organizing the turkey bowl, everyone seemed to have a great time, I sure had fun watching the boys and men have fun together. Thank you God for the boys and Men in our life! These were a few of my favorite shots.

Missing Summer

For Some reason I was missing Summer today. I miss camping as a family. I miss going to the Lake and not having to be at the bus stop at 6:15 in the morning. O well, I guess we just have a few months to go, and it will be Summer again. Thank you God for short Seattle seasons!

A few favorite things, it doesn't get much better than this for a 10 year old. Thank you God for Family, Pets, Football & of coarse B-RAD!

Halloween 2008

We had a great time hanging out with friends this year, the kids got tons of candy. We also had a great time carving pumpkins on the eve of Halloween. Thank you God that we can have good, safe, fun on Halloween instead of focusing on all the negative about it.

VINTAGE HALLOWEEN

OK, I AM FOCUSING ON VINTAGE KIDS AGAIN. MY DAUGHTER HAS HER FIRST SCHOOL DANCE THIS HALLOWEEN DAY. ALTHOUGH I WILL BE THERE CHAPARONEING, I FEEL LIKE SHE SHOULD STILL BE IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. BUT THE REALITY IS THAT MY LITTLE GIRL IS NOT A BABY ANYMORE. I JUST NEED TO REMEMBER THAT THE WHOLE REASON WE HAVE TAUGHT HER WHAT WE HAVE TAUGHT HER IS FOR WHEN THESE MOMENTS COME. THANK YOU GOD FOR PROTECTING OUR KIDS, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE CAN'T BE THERE TO WATCH OVER THEM.

OK, so maybe I am pouting a little! I have been sick, and had to miss Life Trek this week :-( It is such a bummer when you anticipate something day after day, then you have to miss it! Well it went on without me :-( and well, I guess we all think we are important until we find out things go on without us. Well it's a good thing, it puts the focus on God. While they were all having fun socializing & eating (my two favorite things) without me, God was also at home with me, healing me! I feel so much better, I will be returning to work tomorrow. Thank you god that you are my Healer! Thank you God for being with my friends and family at Life Trek, you are awesome!

God is so awesome!

Life Trek was so great, we had almost 80 people! We have had amazing feedback. We had around 30 teens, 25 adults, and around 25 kids! I still cannot believe how God so strategically and perfectly filled our needs. Russ and I feel so extremely fortunate for all those who have stepped forward to Navigate "Life Trek" with us. Thank you God for being faithful! I can't wait until tomorrow night to see everyone back together again, it was such a great time! And we will be having a hot home cooked meal besides, it seems like with our busy schedule we hardly get that at home anymore. Thank you God for Jackie and her amazing kitchen crew!

Focusing on vintage kids

Well, here i am focusing on Vintage kids once again. I have not been able to find that magic pill that keeps kids from growing up, do you have any suggestions? Well I guess I am just going to rely on God's hedge of protection, friends, and the vintage kids. Wow that is way out of my comfort zone! I am more comfortable with knowing for sure, with no shadow of doubt, with every assurance possible that my kids will never make a bad choice and will always be safe. Not Happening! All i can say is thank goodness for the covering of prayer, community that is always looking out for each other, and friends that are there to encourage you when you or your kids screw up. Thank you God for these things!

Vintage Kids

So I desided that I do not like the way that kids are growing up so fast, so to deal with this I am going to focus on vintage kids, they just seem so sweet!

Well this is our home away from home, Russes mom and dad are so gracious! So when we are not in town all those weekends, and we say we are going to the cabin(which I know is a lot). This is where we go, we love it here! It is beautiful, peaceful and has been a huge blessing to our family. And also all of the sunset pictures I post on my blogs are taken from the deck at the cabin. Thank you God for mom & dad's cabin!

Life Trek!

I am so excited about this Fall! Russ and I are getting ready to kick off a new ministry at our church, Life Trek, navigating life together. With the help of our pastor, close friends, and church family, we are ready to reach out to our community through relationship. Although this takes time, commitment, training, meetings, and so much more. Through prayer and constantly seeking God's direction, we know it is going to be an exciting year! Thank you God for this opportunity to serve You!

24/7 Prayer

My church has been participating in a 24/7 prayer, and so far i have had the opportunity to pray 9 or 10 hours this last week, at least 7 of those hours with my 11 year old daughter. it has been the most amazing experience! My initial reaction was, o my goodness how am i going to pray for that many hours, well the reality is each time we went to pray, we were not ready to go when our time was up. I have seen such a difference in my family and church since we have taken this time to intentionally seek out God, it has been the most amazing thing. Thank you God for Prayer!
